In any measuring instrument using battery that you don't operate it for long period of time, will cause leaking of its acid as shown by the pictures. 

With the acid leakage, the contamination may flow into the board and corrodes the component and times may damage to the board.

Solution we can provide by Progauge team is performed cleaning to the area that has contaminated and replace damage components. This is the 1st step of cost saving for the customer under taken by Progauge. We will try to avoid high cost of replacing the whole board.

Solution to the customer is advisable to removed the batteries whenever complete using the equipment.
